Perhaps that enthusiasm is because of the amazing sister missionaries who visited our home over the years. Their influence was mighty, and their love of Christ was strong. Perhaps Motra Bezas just always knew, even before? I don't know. Perhaps it is also because of other wonderful sister missionary blogs that helped her make the decision to set aside 18 months to help others. But I do know that she is now off on a mighty adventure in an effort to feed the Lord's sheep and to teach others the Savior loves them and cares for them, especially during challenge.
Motra Bezas had chosen long ago the title "there and back again" for her blog that she would one day create. And now that time is here. One day she will be "back again." Until then, we love her and pray for her, as do many of her friends.We'll be posting as she writes, so stay tuned! But in closing, here is why she is serving a mission:
John 21:15-17:
15 ¶So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son
of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;
thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son
of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him
the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest
all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Motra Bezas has begun the call to serve!
