Dear Family,
With transfers, overall, after receiving President's call on
Saturday, I have felt such a spirit that this is the Lord's will for His
vineyard at THIS time and I am excited to see His miracles be brought to pass.
So with one of our investigators this week we had a lesson
with her on Tuesday and we were just going completely on faith as how the Lord
needed us to teach her. Believe when I say that it was an amazing experience to
see how our faith in the Lord really shaped our lesson with her as we
testified. The spirit was there. We had an amazing lesson with her on Saturday
with a member there. We read from Alma 24 and discussed and testified
throughout the whole thing and how this story can fully apply this to us today.
The member was amazing in our lesson we had with our beloved
investigator. She is just a example that members are SO NEEDED in lessons with
investigators and with less actives. I have seen it so much with this transfer,
that they work WONDERS! Their testimonies and their witness and they are
central to the lesson. You don't just "have" a member in a lesson to
just "have" it. They are spiritually guided as to who NEEDS to be the
lesson. Members are critical for investigators and less actives' conversion.
Those members' testimonies and experiences to help build their foundations.
That is something I learned this week.
Another cool experience was in our English Course. We have a
mom who attends. She brings her son and they are both so sweet. We have invited
her to pray a couple of different times and is kinda of shy. (Satan is trying
so hard with her to not pray). The coolest thing happen on Tuesday and Thursday
is that her son volunteered. It was such a great moment we saw how he was an
example to his mother. This is just one of the many moments of what he has done
for his mother.
I know that without a doubt he was sent down to save his
family. I feel the spirit as I write this. Part of missionary work is the work
within the walls of our own homes. Our families are one the biggest blessings
and tools to use to help bring us all home.
I love my Savior. I know that He has a plan for each one of
us. I know that as his coming comes closer every single day, I know that
anymore, we are all here to fulfill a special purpose. Like how is says it in
the song Glorious,
"It's like a symphony just keep listening. And
pretty soon you'll start to figure out your part. Everyone plays a piece and
there are melodies. In each one of us, oh, it's glorious."
I know this to be true and through Him and of Him, we can
know our purpose. Because of this glorious gospel we can know our purpose and
begin our journey by bringing souls to Christ. That is our role as members of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And we should stand with our
heads held high that we are children of a Father in Heaven and that He loves us
and Wants us ALL to return home to him, through the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
BECAUSE HE LIVES, we can one day too! BECAUSE HE LIVES,
anything and EVERYthing is POSSIBLE!
